Osoyoos Indian Band to Partner in New Prison on Reserve

The Osoyoos Indian Band, one of the most business-oriented bands in BC under the dictates of chief executive officer Clarence Louie, will be further collaborating with the BC government and Corrections Canada to build and operate a new jail on reserve land.  This is despite the fact that Native peoples continue to be imprisoned at a rate far greater than non-Natives.
